Dahlia Growing Masterclasses

Collection: Dahlia Growing Masterclasses

Join Rachel at the flower farm for a day immersed in dahlias where we will go through every aspect of growing these amazing flowers through the year, from variety choice to propagation to how to cut for showstopping stems, to lifting and storing and everything in between. This workshop is one for dahlia lovers, aspiring dahlia growers or simply those looking to increase their knowledge and also makes the perfect gift for a cut flower lover in your life.

By the end of the day, guests will have full confidence to head home and get cracking with their dahlias, whatever time of year.

Places are limited to 10 per workshop so that we can really get into the detail and do some hands on practical activities, in March, taking cuttings, in July, pinching, feeding, how to prep your dahlias for showstopping stems and in September, cutting for the vase and taking seed. Each masterclass will include a comprehensive manual to take you through the dahlia growing year so you can refer to it after you get home and beyond plus a full farm tour.

The day will run from 10am - 4pm and includes lunch plus takeaways on each session depending on the time of year:

March: rooted cuttings, a potted tuber, packet of dahlia seeds

July: 2 x dahlia plants ready to plant in your garden

September: a bucket full of flowers, seed heads
